The X key is your friend, use it frequently to work out the profit margins on various structures. Regardless, a few pointers from factors that dramatically improved my performance. That and I think i must secretly be a sadomasochist. I tend to play games on the hardest difficulty as it forces me to learn the mechanics properly. How much of your game is trading outside the resources you are producing? I don't know if the volumes are just unique to the AI and most players aren't that active on the markets either, but I tend to stockpile and drop at a high point for resources I'm producing, and invest those profits into HQ upgrades, patent research/optimisation, or stock buys. I've read a lot of guides and the almanac itself, but other than specific strategies around taking advantage of a resource monopoly there isn't a lot more than "don't forget about day trading/speculating" While I do diversify (maybe focusing on food and glass early, then switching glass for electronics) I can never get into the millions of profit from a single resource while the top performing AI will generally finish between 1.2m to 1.8m profit from their top resources.įrom my perspective, the weakness in my game is trading. Throughout a match, every AI player will have traded hundreds of thousands more in resources than me. The AI manages to beat me to every HQ level even when I have attempted to replicate its strategy.Ģ. But I'm still missing something if I can't beat the AI at that level, and I'm trying to figure that out.Ī few things I've noticed through watching my AI competitors and assessing the post game stats are:ġ. I can now consistently beat employee level opponents and barring any bone headed moves on founding or claiming resources that could have waited for HQ3 and stalling growth, I can be in the game until HQ5 at manager level. diet suppliments".Įthics doesn't really matter here, and while it would make sense for a cutoff from the market at a D rating (like is done for most sabotage), if you actually have the cash money on hand, you would still be able to buy the required resource you'd need, even if you are bankrupt, because it's cash.I'm still stuck on managing expectations. Remember though "this isn't an auction for drugs. No backup life support, you pany auctioned for the amount of the debt.no 's liquidated. An easy fix would be after you hit a D rating they simply cut you off, no more power or life support until you get it back below D. It's still a pitiful way to treat your suppliers (much like a couple of building contractors I know). Provided your debt doesn't exceed that value, you're pretty much set. If you buy into everyone else, your value will be equal to half all competitors combined. If you invest basically half the company value of the highest value competitor, your value should be at least half their value, before debt. Publicado originalmente por Admiral Obvious:Not really, that's mostly how stocks work. Every game is either go into debt because I have to concentrate on making resources to level my HQ or focusing on Life support. I guess I am getting better but I have no idea how the AI can up grade their HQs so quick while I'm left in the dust. ![]() Is there anyway to share a replay so someone can give me pointers? Oh, and I've read the almanac front back and center.įorgive the term but my "OCD" is driving me to beat this map but I keep losing. and I was manipulating the market to sell my stuff at a huge profit (40-60K). Pirating his supply lines, my rockets where goon squaded up. I had a robust supply chain, decent launches. For instance the last time I tried I owned more of his stocks and the AI still managed to buy me out. So, I've actually tried beating this map a couple times now and I keep getting bought out. ![]()
